There has been little discussion in the news about the origins of the CCP Virus (COVID-19 or coronavirus) and even less about why. Even early on most news outlets and the experts in the know insisted the CCP Virus had its origin in the animal world and had somehow jumped to humans. There is plenty of controversy around this theory the news outlets are not digging into. There were some questions early on as to whether the virus could have possibly come out of a bio lab. These questions were responded to with vehement denial. One investigative reporter, Joshua Philipp, at The Epoch Times has unmasked documents and has interviewed many experts in an effort to uncover what politicians and other news outlets have been reluctant to address. Which in and of itself raises some question and doubt in my mind. Let's look at some hypotheticals.
In today's world, the cost of waging a conventional war is extremely high. It involves the training of troops, developing and manufacturing of weapons systems, mobilizing troops, weapons, and significant support infrastructure to the combat arena, and providing support and maintenance for both throughout the war. You only have to look at the trillions of dollars the United States has spent over the past 19 years waging war in Afghanistan and Iraq. There is also the inevitable loss of life that preys on the hearts, minds, and emotions of the families of those lost to combat. Not a very attractive scenario.
What is the objective of a war? We could say to defeat an enemy that poses an imminent threat. What are the alternatives to conventional war? Immediately I can think of two. The first would be to engage in a cyberwar. Attack the infrastructure of the enemy via their network connections to those systems relying on network connections whether these be visible to the internet or not. There are plenty of instances of this taking place almost daily. We constantly hear of breaches to supposedly secure data, ransomware, and attempts to gain access to power grids, pipeline controls, etc. All of these have the potential for significant disruption of an enemy's ability to either defend itself or maintain control of the public. Not to mention the economic harm these actions can have.
It is common to attribute these activities to black hat hackers and unscrupulous actors looking for ways to gain financially through their actions. Occasionally we hear the origins of cyberattacks were from China, North Korea or Russia. Cyberwarfare is real in today's world.
The second alternative to a conventional war is biological warfare. Release into the general populous of the enemy some biological agents for which they are not prepared or are ill-prepared. Thereby creating chaos and havoc throughout the country or a region. Perhaps forcing them to take actions such as closing significant parts of their economy and imposing authoritarian actions on the populous to bring the situation under control. This would also have the effect of making it difficult for them to assist others and lead to a general loss of power and influence in the world community. In the meantime, you could step up your efforts to become the savior of those countries or regions suffering some collateral damage but not the original target.
This almost sounds exactly like the current situation we are experiencing. Our economy has been brought to a standstill. We are at our weakest point in decades in so many areas. Our ability to continue to produce at the levels of two months ago is completely undermined and will take months if not years to recover. All the while we are going deeper and deeper into debt to try and maintain the economy and protect lives.
China has over the last two decades significantly increased its influence in developing and underdeveloped countries by providing low-cost loans while at the same time investing significantly in the acquisition of its natural resources. China has the largest stockpiles of many minerals and ores in all of the world. Often metal prices hinge solely on whether China is increasing its stockpiles or selling off. They are currently able to influence politics in numerous countries throughout Africa and South America due to the economic support they have been providing.
Another interesting aspect of the current world situation is the countries suffering the greatest impact in the crisis are the United States, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Germany, and France. All countries generally aligned against China and attempting to reign in their influence on the world. How and why is this the case? It cannot be simply that the virus is attracted to affluence and power. How would the virus distinguish affluence and power? It could not. The one plausible conclusion is it was purposely disseminated to these countries and others are collateral damage.
Another interesting element to consider is the fact China has also remained largely unaffected by the CCP virus. We are told this is because they are being dishonest about the number of cases and deaths. This may be the case in part or total but what if it is for another reason. If you intend to develop a biological weapon to use against your enemy wouldn't you also want to develop protections for yourself, so you do not succumb to your weapon? Perhaps China was willing to sacrifice a certain number of their own and create a diversion, so the world did not hold them accountable for an actual war. Once they had set the stage and the weapon had been launched and disseminated among their enemy they could then inoculate or otherwise destroy the virus at home.
At any rate, I hope I have provided some food for thought and you will continue to be a part of Jack's Point of View.
