Once again political correctness distorts words and attaches negativity to their meaning. In today’s politically charged environment it is impossible to say anything without it being reinterpreted to mean something never intended or contemplated. Why is it that Democrats and Liberals insist on everyone adhering to their NewSpeak vocabulary?

In a Tweet today President Trump likened the Impeachment Inquiry to a “lynching.” Now the Democrats and Liberals are up in arms claiming this is a racist epithet. Do they not know lynching, hanging, tar and feathering, running out of town on a rail, beatings, killings and all manner of grievous offences were endured in the past by Blacks, Native Americans, Jews, poor Whites, Asians, people of different religious views, and people of different sexual orientation. All races, genders, religious and political persuasions have undergone abuse and mistreatment in the past and in the present.

When the Liberals begin to apply their NewSpeak to our language it makes it difficult for thoughtful individuals to have meaningful conversations about the roots of the ills plaguing society in the past and in the present. Worse, it is all because they have no reasoning or logic to support their points of view so they resort to calling names. Attempting to belittle the person or the cause is their way of deflecting and avoiding a real conversation.

I for one welcome reason and logic. I wish for the days free of political correctness.
