On November 9, 2021, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. published The Real Anthony Fauci. I encourage everyone to obtain a copy and read the history of Dr. Fauci and COVID-19.
Dr. Anthony Fauci has been in the news again after his denials before a Senate committee on the NIH's funding of research into virus gain of function/gain of threat capabilities at the Wuhan Lab. In addition to almost daily appearances on various news outlets, where he continues to push for masking, vaccinations, and potential lockdowns. While most news outlets now admit the distinct possibility, SARS-COV-2 escaped from a lab. Fauci continues to deny this and pushes his nature theory, with the Wuhan lab being the most likely. What about this nature theory? As far as I can determine, the nature theory is only that, a theory. No intermediate carrier other than bats has been found despite testing various animal species as potential sources for the original virus. Still, scientists don't believe it went directly from bat to human. Instead, insisting there was an intermediary, possibly a pangolin. This theory is similar to the theory that the original SARS outbreak in 2002 resulted from the SARS virus jumping from bats to a civet and then to humans. However, that theory was also never proven.
Dr. Fauci denies his organization funded any gain of function/gain of threat potential at the Wuhan Lab. However, the Chief Virologist at the Wuhan Lab contradicts this denial in a 2016 paper, wherein she specifically names the NIH as one of the sources for funding. Additional documentation identifying the ongoing research and who was involved can be found at https://shizhengli.net/. Senator Rand Paul has called for Dr. Fauci to be investigated and held accountable for his lies to Congress. This video contains clips of Dr. Fauci making statements prior to the SARS-COV-2 crisis indicating he was knowledgeable of the ongoing work in this domain.
Several of my previous posts also explore and indicate the origins of the virus. One, in particular, contains a video with interviews of prominent scientists who early on claimed the virus had laboratory origins. These scientists were laughed at, ridiculed, disparaged, and their credibility was questioned with vicious personal attacks. Still, their statements were never challenged, and no evidence to disprove their claims was ever presented.
Many scientists are reluctant to embrace the idea the virus responsible for this crisis came from a lab because the public outcry would result in the closure of many institutions performing research into gain of function/gain of threat capabilities, whether viral or microbial, or bacterial. However, over the last few decades, the public has become increasingly reliant on science and believers in its capabilities to improve life. Thus, admitting science has gone too far in pursuing gain of function/gain of threat would be an admission science does not have all the answers.
