It is Election Day!  Over 90 million votes have been cast during the early voting phase, including mail-in and in person balloting.  That is over 50% of the total votes cast in previous elections.  The problem with all of the mail-in ballots, is the states are not prepared to count all of them in the 24 hours following election day.  It may take weeks for them to count them.  This means we may not know who the official winner of the elections, not just the presidential election, but many elections for public office.

This could result in people feeling their vote is not being counted and getting upset waiting for results.  I expect there will be many parts of the country experiencing demonstrations, some of which will turn violent.  I pray this does not become the case.  I hope we can accept the results of this election, no matter the outcome, without devolving into an even more divided nation.  If anyone is unhappy with the outcome, they should prepare to mobilize voters who are of their same mindset to get out and vote in the next election to ensure their preferred candidate is elected.

If you have not voted, please do so today.
