Now that the Impeachment inquiry appears to be over, I can't help but remain baffled by the continued spin Democrats attempt to put on the whole impeachment effort. First, I have difficulty seeing where they have tied any of the testimony to a request for help on the part of Ukraine to damage any of Trump's political opponents. Yes, there was a reference to Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, but the request was to look into the Burisma relationship. Burisma being a corrupt Ukrainian company previously under investigation. The Democrats are the ones conflating this with a request for dirt on a political opponent.
Second, Democrats continue to speak out about Trump asking for an investigation into the DNC server, alluding to his prior statements Ukraine was involved in 2016 election interference. They state over and over again the intelligence community and everyone else has accepted it was the Russians who interfered in the elections. Are they so naïve as to believe no one else attempted to interfere? Especially given the fact there is ample evidence there was a request by a DNC operative for interference by Ukraine. Do they not know the Chinese, North Koreans, Saudis and a host of others also had ample reason to and likely were engaged in activities intended to influence the outcome of the election?
At this stage of the impeachment road, they have undertaken, it is clear they are solely intent on besmirching and denigrating Trump and his Presidency, in an effort to disrupt the coming 2020 elections. Is this not tantamount to interference on the part of the Democrats in our election process? Is this not an effort on their part to disenfranchise Americans of all political persuasions? Is this not dirty politics? Sounds a bit like the pot calling the kettle black to me but this is what they always do. They know what they have done so they accuse the other side of doing it while vehemently denying their own wrongdoing.
At the same time, they continue to push their narrative the economy is failing all but the ultra-rich. This despite all of the evidence the economy has improved most significantly under Trump for all Americans, or, at least, for those willing to participate in the economy. There will always be those who do not believe it is worth the effort to be a participant and society is responsible for their condition or situation and
I for one am tired of this "Loserthink" mindset. When will they get over their self-righteous attitude? They should let the American People decide at the polls the future of Trump. It is wrong for them to make this blatant attempt to influence the election at this late stage and thereby deprive American citizens of their right to a choice. They know it is too late, or will be, for Republicans to identify a new candidate and have him participate in the upcoming caucuses and primaries. They are intent on destroying the election process. If there is an entity intent on destroying our democracy, it is the Democrats
