It now appears as though President Trump will ultimately be impeached.  Democrats have once again found cause and are vigorously pursuing their impeachment inquiry.  Something they have been pursuing since before Trump was even elected.  Politico.eu even ran a story in April 2016 addressing the possibility of impeachment and he wasn’t yet the nominee.  Vanity Fair ran a piece just days after the 2016 election addressing the possibility.  In the piece, they state they had found 37 search results regarding impeachment of the recently elected President.  The very day after the election, while Democrats and Liberals were in shock, there was talk of Trump being an illegitimate President.  Not duly elected by the people.  This has been their tone ever since.  Hillary Clinton stated so much in a CBS Sunday Morning show in late September 2019.  Even suggesting he stole the election.

Now Democrats have finally accomplished their objective.  They have tarnished the President’s name sufficiently that Independents and Republican fence straddlers alike are favoring Impeachment.  Since even before he took office they have sought to discredit him as an individual, his character and his Presidency. Within days of his naming staff and Cabinet Members, they pursued them looking to entrap them and use the entrapment to betray the President. The whole Russian collusion investigation, obstruction of justice, and now they claim he has pressured a foreign leader to assist in bringing down a political opponent.

This information came to light as the result of a Whistleblower coming forward and filing a statement with the ICIG (Intelligence Community Inspector General).  Even before the currently mounting evidence the Whistleblower has ulterior motives came to light, I said to myself, "This is no Whistleblower, this is another leaker.  This leaker is just afraid of repercussions since AG Barr is actively pursuing plugging the holes in all Cabinet Departments.  So under the advice of Adam Shiff's Intelligence Committee staff, the leaker became a Whistleblower.  What was leaked were claims by the Whistleblower the President was pressuring a foreign leader to interfere in our 2020 Elections.

In a telephone call with the newly elected President of the Ukraine, Trump asked that he look into efforts to interfere in the 2016 US Election. There has long been discussion that interference, i.e. hacking of the DNC server, actually originated in the Ukraine and not Russia. (Some claim this has been debunked but the Russians have a fairly large presence in the Ukraine, control a portion of its territory, so why couldn't the attacks have come from Ukraine but still be carried out by Russians?) As a follow on, Trump pretty much said, "while you are at it, would you also look into the funny business with Joe Biden and his son Hunter. There are stories and people would like to know."

Those looking to hang the President out to dry see this as the President asking for dirt on Joe Biden to use against him on the campaign trail. Especially by claiming the President had conditioned military aid to the Ukraine on granting this favor.

Tom Del Beccaro wrote an opinion piece for Fox laying out numerous issues with the Democrats logic in basing their impeachment inquiry on these points.  Democrats will not even admit it was legitimate for the President to ask for assistance in determining the sources of interference in the 2016 Election.  The same as he has done of other countries. Most interesting of which is the treaty between the US and the Ukraine requiring the two countries to cooperate in criminal investigations.

With the American Public now at the tipping point, over 50%, favoring an Impeachment Inquiry, there is no way Democrats will not take this as far as they possibly can.  Even if they do not call for a formal impeachment, their objective has always been to tarnish the Trump name and prevent his reelection.
